Chocobo GP players have been looking forward to the start of Season 5 since its announcement on December 12. Square Enix confirmed that Season 5 would be arriving on December 22 and would include two new characters, Volg the chocobo and Croma the black mage, and the Final Fantasy 7-themed course Midgar. A variety of cute Christmas-themed costumes are also planned, like the reindeer outfit for moogle Atla. Unfortunately, further content will not be developed....

The reaction to the news was massive - and not only from fans or from those within the gaming community. Meanwhile, Square Enix has also revealed some other news surrounding Final Fantasy 7, including its future plans to port the original game to iOS, alongside its upcoming PS4 port. There was one question on everyone’s lips surrounding the project, however - after so much fan pressure, sustained over several years, why did Square Enix decide to only tackle the project now?...

Some might say that the Square Enix moniker is synonymous with longevity, with the company hanging on to popular franchises through numerous sequels. That’s not to say, however, that Square Enix is not focused on new properties. Indeed, recent reports have revealed that the publisher is currently looking at a new IP, and one that aims to land on the experimental side of gaming. The news was revealed by Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda in a financial results briefing for the most recent fiscal year....

However, if that’s the case, some of Square Enix’s other plans raise questions. One would expect that Final Fantasy 16 would be its focus as the next chapter in the Final Fantasy franchise, but that’s not the case. In fact, there’s an almost overwhelming amount of Final Fantasy projects in the works. Although that’s great for the IP as a whole, one wonders if it’ll set back Final Fantasy 16 in any way....

The branching story of Trials of Mana lets players take control of one of six main characters, each of whom have their own story that loosely ties into the overarching plot. At the time of its original release on the Super Famicom, this was quite a feat. This gave the game a great deal of replayability, something that extends to the remake. While it may take between 25 to 30 hours to complete one story thread, players may want to go back and learn the fates of the other characters as well....

However, although President Joe Biden’s party has scored wins in key senate and gubernatorial races, incumbent Republican governors in Texas and Georgia won re-election in victories that were strongly indicated in polling. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp had won 53.4 percent of the vote compared with Democrat Stacey Abrams’ 45.9 percent with around 95 percent of votes counted. The Associated Press (AP) has called the race for Kemp and Abrams has conceded in what was a rematch of the 2018 governor’s race when Kemp scored a narrower victory over his Democratic opponent....

“I believe Joe Biden,” Abrams said during an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon. “I know Joe Biden, and I think that he is telling the truth and that this did not happen.” The allegation was made by Tara Reade, a former congressional aide to Biden who has accused him of digitally penetrating her while she was trying to deliver a gym bag to his Senate office in 1993.
