Spurs Timberwolves Evacuate Mexico City Arena Because Of Fire Game Postponed

Less than an hour before tip-off, a fire erupted in an elevator at Mexico City Arena, causing heavy smoke to funnel into the arena, according to KSTP-5 Eyewitness News.



Spurs beat reporter Jeff McDonald was on hand and provided updates as the smoke billowed in.

Roughly thirty minutes after the game was supposed to begin, it was officially postponed. It is unknown when the game will be made up, but the league said it will be played in Minneapolis.
