The stainless steel watches, dubbed as Cloud and Sephiroth chronographs, will feature Seiko instruments from Japan and will include several Final Fantasy 7 details. The Cloud chronograph will sport a silver finish stainless steel design, while the Sephiroth chronograph will have an ebony finish. Both watches will include an all-glass back panel that will feature an embossed Final Fantasy 7 logo on the rotor, while a mother of pearl central disk will include the respective emblems of both Cloud and Sephiroth.
It is worth remembering that while the limited-edition watches are beautiful to look at, they won’t come cheap given that the Square Enix Store is selling these at $2,500 each. For collectors who are interested in purchasing one, the Japanese made timepieces will be produced at extremely limited quantities of 77 pieces per region. As of the moment, only the North American region is confirmed, but it is likely that availability on more territories will be announced soon. The limited edition Final Fantasy timepieces will be shipped around the same date as the release of the game.
For those who are not interested in purchasing the luxury watches, Square Enix also announced two special editions for Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The cheaper Deluxe Edition priced at $79.99 will include a steelbook case, art book, mini-soundtrack CD, and Cactuar bonus Summon Materia DLC. The 1st Class Edition, on the other hand, will include everything from the Deluxe, plus a Play Arts Kai Cloud Strife statue, and a Carbuncle Summon Materia DLC.
Apart from the confirmed release date, Square Enix also revealed that because the game will be a multi-part series, as the studio previously confirmed, Final Fantasy 7 Remake will take up two Blu-Ray discs. Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase explained that the first chapter of the remake is massive, given that it will go beyond what players may expect from the original game.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake releases March 3, 2020, on the PS4.
