The official gamepad is being made exclusively for the Xbox One, which means that Xbox 360 users won’t be able to use a variation of the design for their time spent in Titanfall. That said, Microsoft and Respawn’s art department have worked in unison on the the limited edition controller’s design, and the end result should delight fans of the actual game — providing they take the time to familiarize themselves with the content post-launch.
Joel Emslie, the lead artist at Respawn Entertainment even gave a little insight into the remote’s design.

This shiny new Xbox One controller is designed to match with the in-game C-101 carbine, something that the press release assures gamers is the quintessential weapon of “IMC titan pilots of the Frontier.” Everything from the graphics on the controller to the color of the finished product have been implemented into the finished design to ensure maximum authenticity.
Currently it’s unknown if Titanfall will support split-screen — a feature that would make the additional controller much more sensible and appealing — and the reveal of this new product doesn’t give gamers a clear idea of whether or not that option will exist in the final product. That said, those who’ve already put down money for the Collector’s Edition of Titanfall will assuredly find themselves tempted by the new controller, and they’ll be able to purchase it at retailers in time for Titanfall’s launch.
Titanfall will be launching on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11, 2014.
